PRIMERO SUEÑO

 The Album

This is the second collaboration between Magos Herrera and composer Paola Prestini. The album recording of the processional opera "Primero Sueño" (VIA records) is based on the masterpiece poem by Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz—considered one of the greatest literary works of the Spanish Baroque—was commissioned by the Department of Live Arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MetLiveArts) and VisionIntoArt (VIA). The text is intimate and deeply symbolic, full of curiosity and reflections on mysticism, feminism, and the power of the natural world.
